I just got back from Foxwoods and I did play in the main event.   I busted on Day 1.  Once again I failed to get anything going in a 10k buy in.  This was my 11th 10k event and I’ve only cashed in 1.  Basically I had it really rough on Day 1 and busted and I hightailed out of Foxwoods.  Was so sick of poker after a week and a half there.

I cashed 2 times in the prelim events and I won 2 main event seats worth 10k a piece so I had a profitable trip.  I can’t stand dropping all these min cashes around.  I am getting deep in almost everything I play but I can’t close the deal.  Once again, I’m very impressed with my buddy David Z.  Zdawg goes to foxwoods and fnl tables 2 events for a total of over 50k…congrats once again man.   I am refocusing on the way I’ve been playing late in these tourneys.  For some reason I can’t close the deal.  Maybe i’m just getting unlucky in crucial spots or maybe i’m misplaying hands late.  I’m taking 2 wks off from live tourneys and I’m going to be ready for Mohegan Sun’s spring events.

I really don’t know if anyone is reading my blogs yet but I figured I’d write a little bit incase anyone is interested on how I’m doing.

Life as a professional poker player is really tough and it’s taking a toll on me.  I started the year off on a good note cashing in the borgata winter open.  Being a professional you need to get over the bad beats and move on quickly or else you won’t be successful.  I am still getting over the worst beat in my poker career at the BWO where there were 38 players left and we were playing for 650k.  My AA got rocked by A 7.  If i win that hand i have over 2 million in chips and the avg is 1.3 mil.  OH well……

After that I went up to foxwoods to play the mega stack series where I fnl tabled the $500 event.

I then went out to vegas for the venetian deep stack and the wynn classic series where I made 2 fnl table appearances.  This all sounds pretty good to everyone but I am very very disappointed so far this year.  I need to close out these events and take 1st in a few.

My time is coming…but it’s been brutal for me.

I whiffed out in all the caesars circuit events including the main event.  Caesars events were the worst..bad structure bad players…..couldn’t get lucky…oh well….

I am planning to make some noise at Borgata this wkend…where they have the BEST structures in thee country.  This allows a nit like me to wait for big hands and the monkies will pay me off.

After the borgata I plan to go to foxwoods for the wpt…

In conclusion, I would like to congratulate a few of my friends who have been able to do a lot better than me thus far this year…

1st it’s professor pahuja aka Kumar….great job at the wynn taking down elky in the $500 event where zdawg and I fnl tabled it…Vinny was able to chip away at elky and take elky down.. I was very impressed at the way Vinny played him heads up.  Of course he showed me his whole cards most of the time without yelling at me…lol  CONGRATS VINNY!!!

2nd I’d like to congratulate David Zeitlin AKA Z dawg……he’s become a very good friend of mine this last year.  I respect his game and him as a person..he’s a very nice guy to chill with.  Zdawg is having a good year fnl tabling 2 huge events..unfortunately he took 3rd in the wynn and 9th at the main event at caesars…..so far it’s a pretty impressive start for an excellent player.  I’m sure Zdawg and I will make many more final tables in the future together.

3rd I’d like to congratulate Felix Mok…aka MINCASH…..felix has been plugging away all last year until he hit a big one at foxwoods last august….this year same thing…he’s plugging along making a mincash at every stop…and now he decides to take 2nd…for 10k..lol  .he almost won a WSOP circuit ring only to fall short to this monkey…2nd place ain’t bad….for 10k…..congrats to MINCASH….
