Great report Matt. It wasn't ALL luck at the final table. As you pointed out, many of the hands the chips were supposed to go in, even though you ended up with the worst of it. The key hand was a great fold of A2. That was skill my friend. Don't sell yourself short.

Oh, by the way, when did Insta become a prefix???

matt begins hallucinating in the airport and says that i should make all decisions because he cannot function. then we walk to the exit and he is going at .1 mph and says it feels like we have been walking for 2 hours. that was after 2 minutes. then he said they are gonna kidnap us and they are using us like a rat race where there is cheese at the end of the tunnel. finally, we are going through security and matt starts flipping out and i thought i was gonna get arrested. many hours earlier when we were starting chinese, he put a book that i was reading in his backpack and when he saw that in his bag he started yelling that i was trying to have him smuggle in a book and the book wasnt his and that i put it there. fortunately they thought he was either mentally handicapped or an american idiot so they let us through. then our driver doesnt pick us up so we are in a terrible taxi with a dude that charged us double going through to the "bad" side of cyprus where they have guns pointed at the border. he only throws up on my shoulder but completely drenched the car, twice, and then passes out at the hotel.

Hmm, just play poker next time?

If you actually spend so much time and money on propbetting and chinese poker, how can you take the loss as a failure?

This is just pure gambling.

In the skill department, you won $161,000. Not a bad paycheck for 5 weeks in Vegas.

If you do gamble on netural ev (at best) games, take the loss as entertainment money and not poker money.

the wife coming in should turn your karma around. I truly wish you good luck on the 50K. On another note - I will be in Philly at a client this summer. Are there any games to play in the area? Thanks if you can respond.

Response from Matt:

Scott, there are no games in Philly that I am aware of. But Atlantic City is only an hour away.

Matt - why is it harder in the lower limit games? Do people make stupid plays or is it the size of the field that hurts the cashing odds or both? Just curious.

Response from Matt:

Scott, it seems to me its just an individual thing. I have a tougher time playing against inexperienced players. I am able to figure out what the better players are thinking on a consistent basis and that is where my edge comes in. So as I am sure most poker players would say the lower buyin events are easier. For me, it is the opposite.
